Self Tanning lotions - Review

So as you can see from the picture, I have a slight obsession with self tanning lotions. Mainly because im almost never in the sun so I can get pretty pale. I also happen to be mediterranean, meaning my skin has a lot of yellow and olive in it so when I don't have a tan I look like a simpson lol, as my brother would say. Below are most of the tanning lotions I have. I have doubles and triples of most of these as well.

These are just the ones I use just for my face: Tan Towel regualr w/ retinol, Tan Towel Tinted, L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Dual Action and L'Oreal Sublime Glow Moisturizer

OK, so on to the review of each one

Ocean Potion: This is a decent tanning lotion for those with normal to oily skin. It didn't offer much as far as being moisturizing but it's pretty goof proof and pretty much impossible to mess up because it just gives you the tinest amount of color each time you apply. After a week of use you'll have a nice natural looking glow.

L'Oreal Sublime Glow Moisturizing Micromist: I'm not sure if this one is so much of a tanner as it is a tan preserver. It's supposed to help your natural tan last longer and give it a little bit more color. I can say it does a pretty good job of that but it's definitely not the first one I grab when Im looking for deep color.

Nivea Sunkissed Moisturizer: I would say this one's performance is pretty comparable to Ocean Potion, however this one smells MUCH worse! Buildable coverage, best used when you already have some color.

L'oreal Sublime Bronze Tanning Gelee: I love this one for my legs! You have to really blend this one in because if you miss a spot you will definitely be able to tell. It's also moisturizing and I use this only after shaving to get the best results. The only con is it takes a really long time to dry. Like at least an hour.

L'oreal Sublime Bronze Tinted: I use this one on my arms and chest. You have to work fast with it because this formula dries really quickly. The good thing is it's tinted so you can see where your applying it. It has a lot of shimmer in it so if that's not your thing you might have to wait a few hours after and then shower it off. This formula is also a little drying so it might not work on those with dry skin, also if you have dry patches on your face or body it's going to stick to it and make it look really noticeable.

L'Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer: This is a really good one for those with dry skin, it's very moisturizing and it has very fine shimmer particles in it that gives your skin a nice natural glow. The color is buildable with daily use.

L'Oreal Sublime Glow Face: This one is just like the body lotion one except it's for the face, If you have oily skin it might break you out. I think it would be best suited for those with normal to dry skin. Color is light, but buildable.

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Dual: This one is perfect for giving you instant color while actually tanning your skin. It's moisturizing and the bronze tint in it is natural looking, just make sure you blend well. I like using this in the morning in place of foundation.

On the Glow Face and Tinted: These are both pretty much the same, except one is tinted. The tinted one is very lightly tinted so you can barely see any of the color once you rub it in. They are both fairly moisturizing but not as much as the L'Oreal sublime glow one.

So which one's you ask are the winners of the bunch??

These 3 are definitely the best and give the most color after just one application. The color is also very natural and buildable. All the bronzers I've reviewed here all offer natural and buildable coverage, but these 3 are the stars.

Have any of you tried any of these? What are some of your favorite self-tanning lotions?

I've tried the sublime bronze gelee and the tinted gel. I really loved both of them! I think they gave one of the best drugstore brand tans! But in Australia they are expensive ($23 for a bottle) I also really love the Garnier Ambre Solaire Bronze Up, self tanning milk coz its really cheap, good colour, really moisturising and nice smell :) Great review! xoxo

I don't think I've seen the Garnier Ambre Solaire around here. I will look for it cause the l'oreal sublime tinted bronzer is kinda drying. I still use it though b/c I love the color it gives.
