#WIW - Cruise/Vacay Edition

I just got back from a week long vacay to Miami, a 4 day cruise and then Ft. Lauderdale. I thought I would share some of my outfits with you. I'm super casual on vacations. My hair will usually be in a bun or french braid 99% of the time since it's curly and I'll wear minimum to no makeup.

I saw this long line shirt on forever21.com and thought it would make the perfect beach cover up and it did! I threw it on over my bikinis and was able to go straight from the beach, hop onto a trolley, grab some lunch and then do a little boutique shopping in Ft. Lauderdale.  (pay no mind to my pasty e boob there lol)

This is what I wore for the plane ride. I never wear jeans on a plane because their too constricting. These shorts are from Rue21, the top and cardigan is forever21 and the sandals are Michael Kors with my own leather and chain necklace and bracelet 

I got this romper at H&M, it makes for the perfect cover up or just casual street wear.

Miami is all about bright colors and short shorts. The top is Pink  from VS and the shorts are My favorite pair from American Eagle.

I love Ft. Lauderdale! Even more so than Miami beach. It just has this more laid back vibe and is the perfect blend of City and suburb. It feels like home! The crop top is from Dillard's and the shorts are American Eagle. 

I bought this outfit with the idea of Miami South beach at night in my mind. I love the high waisted shorts paired with a bright crop top it has a sexy casual feel so it doesn't look like your trying too hard.  

I wore this fun romper from JcPenny with nude Guess wedges for Captains Night on the ship and put my hair in dutch style french braids. 

This was my casual outfit for strolling around Key West. The tank is from forever21 (can you tell I shop here often? lol) and the shorts are Abercrombie with my super comfy Croc flip flops. I can walk around for days in these.

I had such a an awesome vacation and the weather cooperated most of the time so we were pretty lucky! Thanks for reading! 

Party Time

This past Saturday we went to a friend's birthday party. Which then turned into one of the 4 am binge fest and dancing nights lol. Are those random nights the best?  

I wore These cut off shorts from American Eagle, they are seriously my favorite brand of shorts, they just fit perfectly. The top is from Tj Maxx, sunnies were purchased online and the necklace is the Dash layering chain from my shop.

The girls! The wedges I got from Dillards last season and the brand is Reba. 

Did you guys notice that I cut my hair? I just hope I won't be too lazy to not keep up with it. I swear, the only reason my hair was long was because I was too lazy to get regular cuts. I would get my hair cut once a year if that lol. I'm loving this length though, I also had it lightened up a bit. I wore my hair black for year because I loved how shiny it made my hair look, but I needed a change. 

My song came on, now whatch me whip! lol

No, You Can't Join the Mile High Club With Us

Can you believe someone would ask that? lol, that's what happens when there's an open bar. 

Wednesday night I worked the New Orleans Tales of the Cocktail event. It took place at the Lakefront airport and the company that put it on rented the whole thing out. I was there with a few other girls promoting Solerno. This year's theme was "Around the World". It was a lot of fun and we kind of had this Pan Am thing going on. Everyone wanted to take our pics doing the Pan Am pose as they called it haha. We even made it onto Nola.com and I'm sure we're in a few local papers as well since they had so many photographers there that night. 

The outdoor area above had a hawaii theme on one side with a tiki bar and ice sculpture; they even brought the sand in on trucks! The other side had an arabian tent and even a camel. I really wanted a selfie with that camel, but he was being lazy.

There is my little group below, upper right all in red. We had a bunch of fun stuff to give out that literally went within 20 minutes. We gave out these old school travel blankets that you would would have recieved on a flight and also back up battery packs for cell phones. 

 We had these "swag bags" that we must have been asked 500 times times if we were going to give them out. Our manager told us we weren't but the last 5 minutes of the event we did and it was a frenzy since there were only about 12 of them. They went in one minute and us 4 girls were able to keep one for ourselves. 

There're pretty nice, very roomy and sturdy. Now I just need to go on a flight somewhere so I can use it :) 

Random Nights Out- What I Wore

I thought I would put a post together from the last 3 times I went out showcasing some of the outfits. As you can tell, I'm a big fan of the body con look. 

Here I am with Dj Trashy at his release party. I kept the look simple with a high waisted fitted skirt and a low cut cami

 I'm a big fan of cropped tops and high wasited skirts. This whole look is from Forever21. I love the fun look of a cropped top paired with a high wasited skirt because it keeps the look sexy without being too over the top. 

Gotta keep it classy - pinkies out w/ the solo cup.

This is one of my favorite dress, also from Forever21. It feels like silk, but doesn't ride up. I paired it with a chunky necklace, bracelet and black heels.

Good Bye 2013, Hello 2014 :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous NYE! This year, as we always do, we got some friends together and headed down to Metro. It was a cold rainy night so we weren't able to carry out our original plans of watching the fireworks on the river and then going downtown, Metro ended up being a good plan B. Jason and I actually MADE money going there instead of spending it. More on that below haha

 Every NYE they have $1000 balloon drop. All this time I thought that meant that there was a 1 - $1000 ticket in one of the balloons. Turns out, it was broken into smaller amounts and the balloons are spread out over 3 rooms. The picture bellow was right when the clock struck 12, balloons and confetti quickly followed. 

 My first year to find one of the vouchers, which of course had me go on a wild goose chase to find more! I found 3 in all totaling $150. Jason, not to be out done, went looking for some too and found 2 totaling $100. One of the guys we were with found one for $100. I wonder what the highest denomination ticket they had...

 RumChatta shots, these are seriously the best! It tastes like sweet milk with cinnamon.

Halloweenie Twenty13

So this year I dressed up as a belly dancer. It actually a costume I got about 8 years ago. I came with pants, but I got a pair of boy cut undies, painted them purple and was good to go. I was going to a club after all where some of the people didn't have anything but body paint on, so considering that I was pretty conservative lol. 

My friend Sarah on the left dressed as a genie and my other friend Alyssa was a bartender at the event and dressed as a school girl. 

 We met up with a couple of other friends. A ninja, Chucky and Bride of Chucky

 I got Jason to dress up this year. He wouldn't go as an arab or sultan like I wanted, but he went as a Spartan :)

 My friend Heather went as Robin Thicke and her husband went as Miley. I wish I would have got a pic of her husband, it was hilarious.

 I love how Danny photobombed my pic, looks like he's saying "ruuuuun!" haha

 We went to Hells Gala this year which was way better than metro, they had an awesome light show and performers. 

  I've been friends with lyndi for about 19 years now, she NEVER goes to clubs. She recently lost a good bit of weight and wanted to celebrate in her bunny costume :)

 All the above pics took place the Saturday night before Halloween. For Halloween we had all these full size candy bars to give out. Word got out fast that we had the good stuff. Especially when one kid screamed, "I got a full bag of skittles!", kids literally crossed the street at that exact moment lol. I was wipped out in about 10 minutes.
