NOLA Fashion Week

I attended my first fashion a few days ago. It was held in the Shops at Canal Place - Saks 5th Ave. I managed to get a front row seat so I could take pictures and I took a video as well, but unfortunately I couldn't get it to download. Lets start off with what I wore.
BCBG perforated jacket (saks), Silk sheer shirt (old), Black crop top underneath (F21), Black skinnies with ankle zippers (TjMaxx), peep toe with open heel ankle booties (old), Necklace (my own C&C Collection), Clutch (Ross)

This show was called The American Prep. As the name would suggest, it was Americana type style. Think Nautical or Tommy Hilfiger styling. I thought this outfit below was really out of place though, it didn't seem to go with the whole theme.
I saw quite a few jumpsuits at the shows, for the most part they were all simple and in solid colors.

You've might have seen the Kardashians or seen it in the pages of People Style Watch - wear their jackets like this, just hanging on the shoulders like a cape.  This was pretty much the trend this season and it definitely was on the runway.
Quite a few calf length dresses were on the runway as well, it's not a look I can get into though. I think I'm too short (5'3) to pull it off.
Voluminous bubble bottom dresses - definitely a look, Especially if your going for the drama. It can work depending in the event. It's not my style though. I prefer easy to wear transitional piece that mix and match easily and can go from day to night.

The overall look of the show was casual and easy to wear. I noticed overall that pattern dresses and high collars were in quite a few shows.

Louis Vuitton Vintage Trocadero Crossbody Bag

If you follow me on instagram you might have seen that about a month ago I purchased my very first vintage Louis Vuitton bag. I bought it on Etsy from a vintage luxury bag reseller. I decided to get something classic and timeless that would go with most outfits. I wanted something small so I decided a crossbody bag would be perfect. If anyone would like the sellers name, leave a comment and I will look it up.

After looking for a couple of months I went with this Vintage Trocadero bag, this bag brand new retails for $1,500, so I got it for a steal! It's in excellent condition and I love how the leather has that beautiful honey colored patina. I don't like the color of the light leather when the bag is new so time has already done all the work for me.

It came perfectly packaged and arrived within a week. I'm going on a cruise in April so I'm sure this bag will be the perfect travel companion.

Have you ever purchased a vintage designer bag before? If so, what was it?
