January in Pictures

My month recap of pics for January taken w/ my phone

Beautiful sunset right out my front door

Suite tickets for the Sugarbowl game. I don't remmeber who played because I couldn't have cared less to see either team play. I just went for the free drinks and food lol

My huge delivery from Misikko.com. It felt like Christmas when I opened it up :-D

At a friend's house for one of the Saints playoff games (190 in hand). We won!

We did shots every time they scored a TD

LSU vs Bama Championship game. We went tailgating VIP style for this and we got our asses handed to us in this game. We didn't even score a single point (notice the less than thrilled crowd). Needless to say, we left at half-time.

This was a halftime show at one of the hornets basketball games. I forgot who we were playing b/c again, I was just there for the food, hungry ass. I love their fully loaded nachos! We were in the first row behind court side seats so it was pretty cool.

My followers in Louisiana might recognize the guy in the tan sweater sitting in the dead center of the pic. He's Saints tailback Mark Ingram :)

Bacardi, hamming it up for the camera. I could just eat him up!

This was my first time making fried catfish. It came out amazing! Crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I might have to do a post and share the secret recipe with you guys. You would be pretty amazed at the ingredients!

 Going out for a friend's b-day

How has your month been?

Splurge VS. Steal - Louis Vuitton Leopard Stole Scarf

So this post might be a little late since winter is on it's way out, but better late then never right? One of my favorite pieces for winter is scarves. You can easily dress up an outfit or give it that special something by just throwing on a scarf. I'm not really into animal prints, but I though that the Louis Vuitton one looked so classic and chic, not too mention that it goes with pretty much anything.

Louis Vuitton Leopard Stole Scarf $715

I found my scarf on eBay for only $4.99 w/ free shipping!! It's not as long as the LV scarf but for the price it's still really good.

Here's the link to the seller if anyone is interested in purchasing one. He has many different colors.
I ended liking this one so much that I went back and bought another one in purple :)

Skinny Girl Now Makes Beauty Products

I was at Walmart yesterday and I saw this end cap w/ Skinny Girl beauty products. Some of you may know of Bethany Frankle from the Real Housewives of New York and then she had her spin off, Bethany Getting Married. She's kind of known for her skinny girl margaritas, which are fab by the way...I had no idea she had a beauty line coming out, I'm intrigued. They were moderately priced. About $7 for a lip gloss.

Have any of you tried her beauty line yet?  What are your thoughts on it?

HANAair Blow Dryer from Misikko ~ Review

Hi loves, I've recently been given the opportunity to try out a hair dryer that has been voted as the best blow dryer 2 years in a row for 2010 and 2011. It's the Italian made Hana Air dryer. This dryer uses a ceramic heater which produces iconic heat and it's ion, tourmaline and titanium oxide technology is supposed to condition hair and reduce static electricity.

Review:
My first impression of the dryer is how sleek it is. It definitely looks high end. It also has a strong motor in it which is surprisingly quite. The dryer is also pretty lightweight which is a must for those like myself who have long and thick hair. I also think drying time is faster w/ this dryer as opposed to my Conair hair dryer. I usually have to dry my hair in 2 parts because my arm will get tired half way through, but I was able to dry my whole head with this without having to stop due to arm fatigue. Jason always complains that my hair smells like burnt hair whenever I blowdry it, but he even commented that my hair didn't smell burned after I used this. I usually set my dryer to high heat with a low output because the noise bothers me, but I was able to keep both settings on high with no problem. The main thing I noticed w/ this dryer is that my hair was shinier, softer and less frizzy after using it. Overall I'm very impressed with this dryer and would totally recommend it.

This is what my hair looks like when it's about half way dry, You can see how thick and frizzy it is.

Pros:
1. Lightweight.
2. Shinier and less frizzy hair.
3. Faster drying time than your average hair dryer.
4. Fairly quite even on the highest setting.
5. Strong motor and the dryer comes w/ a 2 year warranty.

Cons:
1. None really other than being a bit pricey at $200, but then again you get what you pay for.

What hair dryer do you guys use?

We've Been Violated!

Sunday Jason and I went out on a friends boat to cruise around and to check out this dolphin that was in the news and papers and while back. The story with this dolphin is that during hurricane Katrina the tidal surge pushed him into this harbor. He is all by himself and despite many attempts to get him out of there and into open waters, he refuses to leave. The dolphin is said to be in his mating prime too, which is why his umm...dolphin parts are always hanging out and he tries to "mate" with the boats.

He's super friendly and comes right up to the boat, he even lets you pet him. This was the closest I've ever been to a dolphin and I was actually able to touch his flipper. I was super excited because I love dolphins.

The funny thing is, he seems to enjoy the boat the most when the motor was running and we were just in idle. As soon as we would shut the boat completely off he would make his way to another boat to hump. You can see the enjoyment in his face, eyes half way shut and tongue hanging out lol. It was the funniest thing ever.
It was actually pretty hard to leave the harbor because the dolphin kept following us and we were scared to go faster than 2mph due to the propeller. He won't go past a certain point so in order to get away we had to shut off the boat and let him go to another boat, but the second we would turn ours on again he came right back haha. We managed just fine though.

Have any of you ever been this close to a dolphin before?

My NYE Recap!

Hi loves! Sorry for the super late post. My NYE is definitely one for the books. I didn't home home till 10am which is definitely the latest I've even stayed out. I had an amazing time to say the least... We started off the night at Metro, then around 3am we went to Penthouse and then somehow Jason got lost on the way back to his car to pick us up and I was too drunk to think of calling him so my friend Sarah drove us to pick up her car from a friend's place which then resulted in a super late night, morning after party at 7am.

Dress is from F21 and I curled my hair using a Helen of Troy 1in iron.

We all had VIP bracelets that night which got us free drinks all night.
They had a $1000 balloon drop, I popped quite a few balloons, but didn't find the money :(

My friend Jason got me these glasses, they flashed on and off really fast so you could not see shit out of them and they made you feel as if you were about to have an epileptic seizure haha

This pic was taken about 8am with my cell phone at the after party. I'm looking rough as hell, but I had an awesome night!
