And it's not even my birthday...Wait, yes it is!

Well my birthday really was on the 4th, but I wanted to show you guys some of the things I got. First I'll start with my favorite thing, a Givenchy scarf from my mom! I can't wait to wear this thing. I'm obsessed with scarves.

A Michael Kors watch from my bestie Angela. Can you believe a crystal fell out of it already! Grr
A Sephora eye shadow palette from my other bestie, Jessica
These colors are so pigmented, I can't wait to use them
This was my free gift from Sephora.

Of course you know I had to go out Saturday night to celebrate so here's the outfit I wore. I decided to try out the cropped top/high waisted skirt trend.
I think I'm a fan :)

Thrifted finds-Outer wear

So as promised, here are a few of my thrifted finds.

I was so happy when I found this classic style blazer. The brand is Ann Taylor and it was in perfect condition.  I payed $5.95 for it

I've been looking for a jean jacket for a while, but the one I liked was $50 at Dillards. I thought that was a bit steep for a jacket that I probably wouldn't wear much so I was so excited when I came across this Hollister one for only $4.95!
I found this one before I bought the Hollister one. The brand is Gap and it was also $4.95. I like it and will wear it but I much prefer the one above.
I so did NOT need another makeup bag but this Victoria's Secret one was only $2 and it looked brand new. I figured it would be great for travel and it's really roomy.

Now this is definitely the biggest find of mine. A Badgley Mischka handbag. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was in perfect condition, unlike the Coach bags I always see which are in horrible condition. This was only $14.95

I have yet to move past outer wear and handbags. I'm still taking baby steps and honestly I just don't like to have to go digging for stuff. The Red, White and Blue I go to is really organized though. Everything is arranged by color and by season so it helps.

Do any of you go to thrift stores. What has been your biggest find?

Recession S3ssion- night out

I love how accessories can instantly make an outfit look ready for a night out. In this case, it's a loose (kinda sheer) v neck top. I paired it w/ some tailored shorts and nude sling backs.

This girl at the club had the same Gianni Bini shoes on as me so naturally I had to take a pic right?

Worst pizza ever! lol

Earrings and bangles-F21. Hamsa bracelets-Hautelook.com. Watch and necklace -eBay. Flat gold bracelet-vintage

What did you guys do over the weekend?
P.S I've been doing a lot of thrifting lately and I really want to show you guys some of the things I've found. Stupid Pinterest has been sucking up all my free time lately and I've really been slacking in the blog department so I'm sorry. I'll get with it though...

Camera Roll - Outfits

The following are outfit pictures from my phone.
I haven't worn that skirt in so long, might need to bring it out again this weekend.

This pic reminds me of Jenny from the block haha

Lord, I needed some self tanner stat!
Lace leggings, I can't wait for the weather to get cold again so I can wear em.

That $4 "House of Harlow" eBay necklace dresses up any outfit
One of my favorite dresses and cheapest too
Probably shouldn't have taken this pic at the end of the night, I look like a grease ball lol

This weekend we're doing a late birthday outing for myself since the hurricane messed it up last weekend. What are you guys doing this weekend?

Here I am! Rock you like a Hurricane

Ok that was lame lol. Sorry for the long time no post, but we had a freakin' hurricane that hit us and we were without power for 5 days and no internet or cable for almost 7! Thank god my parents had power after 3 days because no AC and 90 degree weather does not mesh well together.
As you can see where I circled, I was right in the middle of all the action.

What sucked most about this storm was how slowly it moved. Once it made landfall it moved through us at around 5-6mph and just crapped all over everything and made a huge mess. We didn't have any damage in our area other than a few down branches and trees, but since the storm moved so slowly it gave it a lot of time to really mess up the power lines so more that 750,000 people were without power for at least 3 days. Some still don't have power and tomorrow makes a full week. Thankfully we never lost our water.

Pics from my street.

We were pretty fortunate that we don't live in the lower lying areas because some people needed to be rescued with boats. This is the second storm I ever rode out that actually did some damage. The first one was Katrina and we stayed in the city at a hotel that my dad used to work at. We thought it would be like any other storm that we rode out. Go to a hotel for a few nights, eat good food, lay by the pool and call it a day. Yeah, Katrina wasn't having any of that and neither was Issac. I think I learned my lesson though, next time there is a storm and we are in the direct path of it, I'm getting the hell out lol.

Here are some pics of some of the surrounding areas. Makes you really thankful knowing how bad we could have had it.
