OOTN - Girl's at a Bachelor Party?

Surprisingly, I was not in the mood to go out at all Saturday night. After a fun filled weekend on the 4th I just wanted to relax w/ a movie and  pizza at home. Well, J's friend from out of town came in for a bachelor party and invited us to come hang out with them in the VIP room they had got. So we ended up going for what was supposed to be a short night and ended up staying till 4am. I know what you may be thinking, I crashed a bachelor party, but really I was invited to attend and was even asked to bring girlfriends if possible lol. We ended up having a great time as usual, but I could definitely use a break from all the partying. This weekend will be chill for sure....hmm, we'll see how that works out haha.

New Foundation Brush & Other Purchases

I was at target the other day and decided that I needed a new foundation brush. I really like the flat top buffer brush from Sigma, but I'm a little lazy and impatient to order it and then wait for it to come in so I got this flat top one from Sonia Kashuk. I have a few of her brushes and absolutely love them. The style of this brush looks so nice and elegant and the bristles are so soft. I'm really excited to try it out. I also picked up a Sally Hanson polish when I was in there. I really love the lasting power of these polishes. I can easily wear it for 5-7 days with no major chipping.

This polish looked so promising in the bottle, but unfortunately it was really thin and sheer. Here it is applied with 2 coats, but I think it needs 3 or 4 for the best looking results. 

I've been wanting the rose gold watch by Michael Kors for months now, but I couldn't justify a $250 purchase on something I wouldn't use often enough. I'm not really a watch or jewelery person so I only wear it when I go out. I bought this watch on eBay brand new for only $21 :)

After I use my new foundation brush for a while I'm going to review it and do a comparison with my old one.

What brush do you currently use for foundation? Do any of you have this one?

4th of July Weekend Part 2 (Detox Day)

Our Sunday pretty much consisted of detox @ the Hardrock all day. We had had done so much drinking the night before I didn't think I could do anymore that day and planned on sticking to water for the most part. We'll I should have known my alcoholic friends wouldn't let that happen lol. My friend had brought his boat out there with a cooler full of alcohol so we kept going to the boat for drinks. We had met up with some friends out there who rented out a round swing bed which really came in handy for later that day. After Detox we drove around in my friend's boat for about an hour and then went back to the hotel to shower and eat. We planned on going on that night too but we didn't make it. I think we were in bed by midnight lol.

4th of July Weekend (Club Night)

For the 4th of July weekend some friends and I went to Biloxi for 2 nights. Our first night there we went to the club at the Beau Rivage casino. It was really good for about 30 minutes while the Dj was spinning...and then the band came out. It sucked after that and we went back to the IP. Their bar/club was called Chill and it was pretty fun, just kind of small. We stayed there till about 2am and then called it a night since we needed to get up early for Detox the next day.

OOTD & Sparkle Strandz

This was my first go with sparkle strandz. I wasn't sure if it was something that I would even like so I put most of them on the under part of my hair so it wouldn't be as noticeable and I only had about 20 of them in. I actually don't think it looks all that great in pics, but in person it looks much better. I wouldn't wear these for an average weekend out unless they were already in there, but I thought these would be something fun and different to do for a 4th of July weekend. These can be tied in and last about 2 or 3 days or you can micro link them in like I did and they can easily last a month or so.

Packing for a Weekend Getaway

For the 4th of July weekend some friends and I are going to be staying at Imperial Palace in Biloxi, do some clubbing at the Beau Rivage and finish up with the Detox pool party at Hardrock. With of course some going out to eat and gambling in between. Well, I don't gamble unless it's w/ someone else's money lol, but I do enjoy watching others gamble and getting excited for them when they win, even if I don't know who they are :).

As for packing, I'm surprisingly a very light packer b/c 1. I hate packing and 2. I hate unpacking even more =/.  For my 6 night honeymoon I didn't even unpack my suit case because I hate it so much and just ended up digging through my suitcase throughout the whole trip, kinda stupid of me lol.  Well, since this is going to be such an eventful weekend I think I'll have to pack more than my usual 1 outfit per day. Here's what I'm bringing:

This obviously isn't all for me, my friends and I pool our drinks so we share everything. (On a side note for those who like vodka: I use to drink only Absolute Vanilla, but this Smirnoff one is surprisingly smoother and mixes better with fruity drinks. I thought it was just me who liked it better, but I asked a bartender friend of mine and he agreed that the Smirnoff brand is better than the Absolute, so definitely give it a try. Oh and Skyy vodka is horrible! I probably won't use more than a splash of it for my bloody mary)

Pool side essentials

Basic makeup items, I'm bringing 3 different bronzers lol

Gotta have your basic black heels and nude wedges for any spring/summer time trip

3 different going out outfits so I have variety. Nothing worse than being stuck wearing something you don't want to

I love this black leather clutch. I was dropping off a bunch of old clothes at a thrift store when it caught my eye. Best part is it was only $.50 cents! The shinny back is perfect to add a little sparkly without being too much

Day outfits: 2 sundresses, 2 pairs of shorts and 3 tops
