2011 French Quarter Festival
French Quarter Fest is now in it's 28th year and was just this past weekend. It had been about 5 years since I last went to one and I seriously forgot how much fun it was. This year they had it close to the Aquarium by the Riverwalk. We took a ferry across the river to get to it which is much easier than trying to find parking in the city. Even though people come from all over to attend the FQF, it still remains a local festival and it's a true representation of the music and culture that we have here in New Orleans.
